India’s Biggest Baking Event Meets India’s Most Ambitious Chocolate Showpiece
When the doors of the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru, opened on 21st November 2025, thousands of baking enthusiasts, professionals, and industry leaders streamed in for the 7th Edition of the India Bake Show. They came for the masterclasses, the brands, and the cake displays.
But nothing prepared them for what the Whitecaps had in store.
As the official Knowledge Partner of India’s biggest baking event, Whitecaps arrived not just to participate, but to make history.
Ravana – The Showpiece That Made History

Standing seven feet tall, crafted entirely from chocolate, and rooted in the rich tapestry of Indian mythology, Ravana was unlike anything the India Bake Show had ever seen.
In Indian mythology, Ravana’s ten heads represent a spectrum of human emotion, intellect, and spiritual complexity. Our interpretation reimagines this iconic figure as a guardian of knowledge, a symbol of artistic duality that transcends the conventional narrative.
Every inch of this fully edible structure was built with purpose:
“The expression is shaped to signify wisdom. The towering form is designed to portray resilience. The intricate detailing captures the many layers of his complex personality.”
This was not a cake. This was not a sculpture. This was a cultural legacy, expressed in chocolate, and it brought the India Bake Show to a standstill.
Live on Stage – Our Chef Demonstrations
Three Whitecaps chefs took to the live stage across the three-day event, sharing their knowledge and expertise with hundreds of attendees.

Burnt Basque Cheesecake – Chef Samyukta:
From the perfectly blistered top to the gloriously creamy centre. Chef Samyukta walked audiences through every nuance of this iconic dessert, making it approachable for all skill levels whilst maintaining a professional edge.
Sugar Isomalt Structure – Chef Akshay Gowda:
Ribbons, petals, bubbles, and spheres. Chef Akshay’s sugar demonstration was pure theatre. A session that reminded everyone why sugar artistry remains one of the most breathtaking disciplines in pastry.
Travel Teacake – Chef Ajith Kumar:
Delicious, dependable, and deceptively technical. Chef Ajith’s Travel Teacake session unpacked the science and art behind one of the most commercially relevant bakes in the professional kitchen.
Student Pride – Competing on the National Stage
Our Diploma students didn’t just attend the India Bake Show; they competed in it.
Akshay – Travel Cake Category | Silver Medal
Facing competition from bakers across the country, Akshay stepped up and delivered a performance befitting the Whitecaps name. His Silver Medal is a proud moment for him, his peers, and the entire Whitecaps family.
